Villarrica is a town, lake, national park and one of the most active volcanos in Chile. The town is not present in this image and the lake is cropped at the central west edge.
The most western mountain is the Villarrica volcano itself, continuing in the south-southeast direction the volcano Quetrupillán and the Lanín volcano can be spotted.
In the northwestern corner the Sollipulli volcanic caldera, lastly erupted around the year AD 1250, dominates the scene.
All of the volcanos are stratovolcanos and none of them is dormant.
