Satellite pictures for anyone

It is not a luxury anymore to view the world from the cold vacuum of space.

In the world of google maps anyone can access remote sensing data with ease. Nonetheless have you ever wondered if those images are really from a satellite or an airplane. Most of the zommed-in data in google maps or google earth are still from an airborne vehicle. The further you zoom-out you will eventually reach the satellite images, but you will only be able to distinguish the larger features on the surface.

The pictures you find on this website are genuine satellite imagery powered mostly by the Sentinel missions of the Copernicus programme.

The ever growing data baseline will offer you high resolution and quality  maps of places you might or might not know.

All of the digital content is here for you to exploit, so don't be shy and feel free to browse, download and share.
